What to Bring:
Summers in the Yukon are generally quite temperate and it is a semi-arid environment, meaning we don’t really receive a lot of rain. Average temperatures range from day time highs of approximately 20°C/65°F to possible night time lows of 5°C/40°F.

Clothing: We love layers and recommend people bring a rain jacket, fleece jacket and comfortable clothes for lounging around the yurts after a day’s ride. Comfortable hiking boots, too!

On Bike: For riding, we recommend people bring their usual cycling attire such as shoes, padded bike shorts, shorts, t-shirts, long sleeved shirts & pants, wind breaker, full fingered cycling gloves, sunglasses, and a backpack or hydration pack.

We do have a limited supply of full suspension Norco Sight 3s available for rent for our package clients. They are rented for an additional $40.00 CAD per day. We also have all the tools and stand required to build your own bikes.

Itinerary

Day 1
Your guide will greet you at the airport and bring you out to Yurtville. There will be time to build up your personal bike or be fitted for your rental bike. Over a welcoming and delicious barbeque, we will go over our detailed itinerary for the rest of the trip.

Day 2

Overlooking Whitehorse and beyond, our local Grey Mountain trail network is a mountain biking paradise. The trails gently swoop up and down, weaving through the boreal forest. Spectacular views of the Whitehorse valley and the coastal mountains near Carcross accompany us throughout the ride.

Day 3
Today we tackle the Mount McIntyre Descent. We will start in the alpine of Mount McIntyre, admiring the views of the Whitehorse valley and towards Fish Lake. We can even see all the way to Lake Laberge, the lake made famous in the Robert Service poem The Cremation of Sam McGee. As we start the descent back to Whitehorse, we will ride through many different ecosystems, starting in the alpine right down to the valley floor.

Day 4
We will be up early to get in a great ride before that flight back to reality. The Yukon River is a highlight of any trip to Whitehorse. A deep bright green colour, it seems almost unreal. On today’s ride we will maneuver our way through the trails to the follow the Yukon River as it flows to back to town. After the ride, we return to the yurts to disassemble bikes and prepare for the flight home.
